Expo 2020 Dubai is happy to present its Sustainability Report 2021, the event’s final and most thorough sustainability report to date. This highly anticipated event has captured the attention of the entire world. This report is evidence of Expo 2020’s persistent dedication to sustainability and openness.

 

In order to effectively promote sustainable behaviors and adhere to the Revised Brand Guidelines for the Expo 2020, Dubai’s sustainability strategy is built on three pillars: Integrate, Impact, and Inspire. This report explores the organization’s strategy and presents it in an eye-catching and educational way. Expo 2020 Dubai seeks to promote the organization’s sustainability initiatives and urge stakeholders to adopt sustainable practices by providing thorough and trustworthy data. Here is how we produced such a book in association with one of the top big four consulting firms in the UAE Expo Team.

 

Visual identity: The visual components that a business or organization utilizes to convey itself to its audience are referred to as its visual identity. The collection of design components conveys the company’s message and brand image. In order to improve uniformity and coherence in the report’s design, the amended standards included new header fonts that were made utilizing the logo patterns. It is simpler for the reader to traverse the report because of the hierarchy of information created by the usage of header typefaces. The report’s aesthetics also benefited from the addition of the new themed Halo Gradients hues, which include Opportunity, Mobility, Sustainability, and Retail. To produce a unified and aesthetically pleasing design that represents the event’s themes, these colors were used throughout the report’s design.

 

Images: The report design made limited use of infographics and used crisp, simple photos that were captured during events. The reader can receive information fast and readily when clean, succinct graphics are used. Renders of Connected Expo, Opportunity Sunrise, Mobility Waves, Sustainability Globe, and Expo Supergraphic were used to produce captivating images that reflected the event’s themes, and these renderings were introduced in the amended guidelines. These images were thoughtfully positioned throughout the report to break up long passages of text and to enhance its design. With the aid of these pictures, a visually appealing report that clearly conveyed the event’s theme was produced.

 

Cover Page: For the cover design, we used 2D wireframes and 3D renderings as backgrounds as part of our project strategy. This not only gave the design more depth and dimension, but it also generated excitement and expectation.

 

We overlaid a number of expo photographs onto the wireframes and renderings in order to fully represent the excitement and joy of the expo event. This helped to generate a graphic picture of the overpowering feeling one experiences while visiting an event like this, even whether they are a participant or sponsor of it.

 

The final product was a magnificent and colorful cover that wonderfully encapsulated the expo event. Anybody who watched it was bound to be left with a lasting memory, and it perfectly captured the enthusiasm and vigor of the occasion.
